Konstantin Zerov, PhD, attorney at law, Chairman of the IAA IP Committee, Counsel at Molotai & Partners, held a workshop for our participants on ‘Intellectual Property Law for Business: Protecting cannot be infringed’.
Companies in the EU are very attentive to the conditions of intellectual property protection. Ukrainian exporters constantly face these issues in contracts and formal requirements for suppliers.

During the workshop, the main issues of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Ukraine and the EU were discussed with the participants: copyright, trademarks, designs, inventions and utility models. We focused on the following issues:
▪️ The role of intellectual property for business, the main objects of intellectual property rights and the requirements of European legislation
▪️ Copyright and who owns copyright
▪️ Protection of ‘naming’ in Ukraine and the EU
▪️ Patenting of designs, inventions and utility models.
▪️ How to protect intellectual property rights in case of their infringement: customs, courts, Antimonopoly Committee
▪️ How to protect your intellectual property in transactions with counterparties in the EU and prove your rights
We are grateful to Konstantin for his expertise and unique experience he shared with us!
